Pogačar Claims Third Stage Win and Overtakes Enric Mas in the Standings After Vuelta Stage 6

Tadej Pogačar defeated Enric Mas on Stage 6 of the 2026 Vuelta a España. His victory on the 177.5 km course from Alcosebre to Castelló marked his third stage win of the race.

Mas Chases After Pogačar Attacks at El Bartolo

Pogačar attacked near the summit of El Bartolo. Enric Mas began the chase, and the two riders stayed together for approximately 20 km after the summit. Pogačar briefly went off course on the descent, but he rejoined Mas.

After surviving the scare, Pogačar beat Mas in the finishing sprint.

Stage 6 Results and Times

Pogačar crossed the finish line in 4 hours, 12 minutes, and 40 seconds. Mas finished second with the same time, while Ramses Debruyne was third, 46 seconds behind.

After Stage 6, the top three in the overall standings were Pogačar, Mas, and Primož Roglič.
